Offertory Prayer - Leading Offertory Prayer
Congratulations and thank you for your willingness to serve. Here are some reminders before you lead the offertory prayer.
Praying up the stage sets you apart from many other men and women in the church. The truth is, someone else could lead but you have been given the privelege. Count this as a special call and a blessing.
Personalize your offertory prayer by giving yourself. Leaders who pray for offertory are advocates of generous giving to the Lord, whether that be tithing or special giving. This too will set you apart from most of the church attenders. Be an example.

✦ Sample Offertory Prayer
"Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude. Everything we have comes from Your hand, and today we joyfully return a portion to You. May these gifts be used to build Your Kingdom, reach the lost, and care for the needy. Help us to give not out of obligation, but out of love and obedience. Bless both the gift and the giver. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen."
